If you want to live longer, reduce stress, have a supple, strong, graceful body and increase your capacity for happiness, then yoga is for you! A powerful tool on the path to well-being and inner liberation, it can be practised by everyone, regardless of age/flexibility/religion/health. The benefits of regular practice are countless:

  • Clear improvement in posture (reduction in kyphosis, lordosis, scoliosis)

  • Helps circadian rhythms to function properly (sleep, body temperature, hormone production, cellular metabolism)

  • Helping to resolve a multitude of physical and psychological problems
     

There are a myriad of styles and schools of yoga. However, for me, a complete and balanced course should contain physical exercises (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and relaxation (savasana). I teach with clarity and gentleness, paying particular attention to alignment, breathing and letting go in the postures. I also teach mantra chanting, which I find very effective for refocusing and developing intuition. I aspire for my students to leave my class feeling grounded, expanded, balanced and delightfully soothed and relaxed. My specialities are:

 

Hatha Yoga - classical, precise, dynamic
Breathing, sun salutations, standing and floor postures, relaxation, chanting. A very complete classical class that works on strength, flexibility, grounding and concentration. It enables you to refine your senses, physical alignment and the energy flow of the different postures. An excellent class for taking charge of your health and developing your physical, energetic and intuitive capacities.

 

Yin yoga - deep, nourishing, meditative
This is a fabulous and necessary practice for calming our over-stimulated nervous systems. By doing a series of postures on the floor that we hold for up to 5 minutes, we cultivate our capacity to welcome, observe and pay attention. Holding the postures for long periods of time allows us to move through the muscle mass and work in depth on the joints, tendons, ligaments and above all the fascias (connective tissue surrounding the muscles and organs). Refocusing, calming and deep therapeutic bodywork.

 

Yoga Nidra - return to the self, evolution, deep relaxation
Another jewel left to us by the yogis: 1 hour of deep relaxation lying down. Guided by my voice, you embark on a journey through the awareness of the different layers of your being - body, breath, sensation, imagination - and towards your deepest self, your guide, your source who knows your dearest dreams and will help you realise them.
